Description
One of the most beautiful and most visited peaks in the Lúčanská part of Malá Fatra is Kľak Hill. And just below it, there is a charming natural gem with a distinctive name - Kľacký Waterfall.
This waterfall is located at an altitude of 990 m. The water of the Kľacký waterfall falls from a height of 30 meters, so you will hear its deafening roar from afar. It shows its full strength in spring and after heavy rains, but it is not much weaker even in the dry season.
In 1996, Kľacký waterfall was as one of five in Slovakia declared a national natural monument. The waterfall is nicely finished by cascades and giant pots as well as by primaveal vegetation with rich and rare flora. Kľacký waterfall is easily accessible along the marked trail from the village of Vrícko (about 4km), but you can also reach it from the village of Fačkov.
