Description
The dominant feature of Lúčanská Malá Fatra is the beautiful Kľak Hill. It is very well known among tourists and it can be said that it is a cult one. The peak of Kľak itself is part of the national nature reserve of the same name. The hill is situated above Fačkovské Saddle, a popular ski resort.
The hill of Kľak has a very specific shape, which is formed in the top parts by a distinctive rock massif that protrudes from the forest. From the top, you will enjoy a magnificent 360-degree view of all the surrounding mountains and valleys as well as the more remote corners of the country.
From Fačkovský Saddle, the hike takes about 2 hours to the top of Kľak. It's the shortest and easiest route that everyone can do. However, there are several ways to get here, as Kľak Hill is a tangle of several hiking trails leading from all sides.
