There is a smaller lake - a water reservoir in the Košice city district called Nad jazerom (Above the Lake). It is set in a recreation area and is surrounded not only by nature, but also by blocks of flats at a distance. It is an ideal place for walking and relaxing.

During the summer, the water in the lake attracts you to refresh. If the water quality is satisfactory, you can bathe there. Grassy banks and sandy beach are designed for lazing, sunbathing or various physical activities. During the season, the lifeguard and rescue service take care of the safety of bathers.

The Lake Recreation Zone offers much more than just swimming. You can use the water ski lift, rope park, or multifunctional playgrounds. Around the lake you can go cycling, skating, strolling in the forest park and on the dam near the river Hornád.

During the summer season, fast food and drinks are available for visitors. Of course, there are also sanitary facilities or boat rental available.
