Although the picturesque mountain range of Bachureň is not one of the highest peaks, many tourists will definitely find this place beautiful. This small flysch mountain is made up of several hills, including Marduňa.

Many of them have probably never heard of it, because it is a less well-known and little visited mountain, yet it is very interesting. The very top is formed by a smaller meadow, which is beautifully decorated.

The entire top part is dominated by a wooden cross and an altar with a smaller seating area, which suggests that believers are heading to Marduňa as well. This gorgeous place is also enhanced by beautiful views.

The ascent to Marduňa is not demanding, there are several marked hiking trails at a place, the shortest of which starts in the village of Rencišov, from where it is about 2.5 km away. You can start from villages of Dubovica, Jakubova Vola or Uzovské Pekľany.
