If you want to admire the Tatra flora at its best in one place and do not want to climb endless altitudes, you should visit the botanical garden in Tatranska Lomnica near the main building TANAP Museum.
On an area of more than 3 hectares, there is a magnificent realm of the most diverse plants of the national park, directly under the open sky. Visitors can view up to 300 species of Tatra plants in various degrees of protection. The viewing area is divided into three main parts: granite rock, limestone rock and peat bog with palisade walkway.
The botanical garden is open seasonally and visitors can admire unique exhibits only 4 months a year. Beginning on the second Sunday in May and ending on the second Sunday in September, the botanical garden is full of high spring and summer colors. Some plants and trees in the form of seeds and seedlings can also be purchased by visitors.
