Obviously, the most beautiful of the lakes around Bratislava are the Čunovo Lakes. They are located between the municipalities of Rusovce and Čunovo, in the reserve Ostrovské Lúčky. Čunovo Lakes are set in a quiet and beautiful natural environment.
The location is popular especially during the summer months. Čunovo Lakes offer crystal clear water, which is attractive for swimming. Officially, however, it is not allowed and bathing is at your own risk. The lakes surround two larger sandy beaches with gradual entry into the water.
It is possible to park a little further from the Čunovo Lakes. But much better is to use public transport and a little walk during the summer days. Another alternative is to come here on bike along the Petržalka dam.
