The passage through each ravine is challenging and requires sufficient tourism capability. If you would like to try such a more demanding ravine with more beautiful transition, we recommend the newly opened Kyseľ Ravine with the starting point of Kláštorisko.
That was a major fire in 1976, and since then only the upper part of the ravine has been opened: the ravine leading to the Giant Waterfall and the Little and Big Kyseľ branches. After 40 years, however, the tourist route has been reconstructed, which allowed the entire Kyseľ Ravine to be passed in the Slovak Paradise National Park.
The lower part of the ravine from the mouth of other ravine of the White Creek to the bridge over the Giant Waterfall is made available in the form of a ferrata, is one-way and is equipped with fixed ropes and iron step boards.
Every tourist who wants to go through this section must be equipped with a ferrata safety set with a fall absorber, a helmet and a compact anti-slip shoes.
While crossing it, you can admire the beautiful nature, wild waterfalls and massive rock formations. Passing through the ravine is only possible in one direction, from the bottom up. If you dare, you can visit it individually. For other visitors, we recommend that you arrange a guide.
At present, the ravine is the strictest protected area of the national park and therefore it is only possible to use ferrata in the period from 15 June to 31 October. The former replacement route remains open all year round.
