The Slovak Paradise could be also called a golden mine of waterfalls. In almost every gorge or ravine, you will find larger or smaller waterfalls and cascades. Even in Sokolia dolina (Falcon Valley), in one of the wildest valleys, you can enjoy the splendor of the Veil Waterfall (orig. Závojový vodopád).
The Veil Waterfall is the highest of the waterfalls in the Slovak Paradise. It lies in the Falcon Valley in the form of a three-tier cascade about 70 meters high. The section of the route leading around the waterfall is demanding, perhaps the most demanding in the whole of the Slovak Paradise.
The ascend is realized by a system of ladders, bridges and footsteps, but this technically strenuous journey is definitely worth of this splendor. However, we do not recommend the route to people who are afraid of heights and little children.
Access to the waterfall is only possible from the intersection of the Falcon Valley. From Spišské Tomášovce, there is a green trail leading to the valley, and the route to the mouth of Falcon Valley takes about 2 hours. This valley is part of the Kyseľ State Nature Reserve. The passage is possible only on marked trails.
