Description
In the forest hidden, surrounded by greenery, the mysterious rocky double-chair is a local attraction in the village of Lietava. it attracts many tourists every year who are astonished to watch this amazing creation.
A walk to the rocky double-chair can be connected with a trip to Lietava Castle, or you can come here during a hike to Skalky Hill.
The double-chair is said to have been the work of the Italian stonemasons, who apparently spent their free time like that. Their work here was to break the stone for the building of a bridge in Budatín in 18th century.
But it is also believed that the rocky double-chair represents a cult object that is related to the ancient cult of the Sun and its age can exceed a respectable 4,000 years.
There is a beautiful view of Majer and Lietava Castle from the place of the rocky double-chair. It would be more beautiful and impressive if it was facing the valley and you could enjoy the view sitting there. But even this way, the double-chair has its charm.
The chair can be reached from the local area of Lietava - Majer along the path opposite the food store after about 200 m walk.
