Babiná - a hill, which is not mass-visited by tourists, but offers a unique tourism, which will certainly satisfy even the most demanding tourists. The mighty Babiná Hill is the highest peak of the ridge of Volovské Mountains forming the southern border of the Slovak Paradise.
It rises above the Hnilec valley and its deforested hill or the proximity of the Slovak Paradise, Kráľova hola or Tatras, are a certainity that this tour will offer you a beautiful natural scenery from the very beginning.
The route here is considered to be challenging, you need to count on alternation of steep and less steep slopes that will lead you through the forest but also through the batch plant. Because of the steep ascent, the first views come quite early, but you will only experience the most exciting views from the top.
Thanks to the wide and deforested peak, you can observe the beautifully rising Volovské Mountains, the Hornádska Basin with the Spiš Castle, the Branisko, the Levoča Hills, the Slovak Paradise, the Stolické Hills and the sharp peaks of the Tatras.
The ascent to Babina is also demanding in terms of orientation, because the tourist sign is disappearing in some places and batch plants don't make orientation any easier too. Babiná can also be reached by a ridge hike leading to the southern edge of the Slovak Paradise, starting from the Súľová Saddle and ending at the crossing of roads at Dobšinský Hill
