The Eastern Slovakia Gallery in Košice is historically the first regional gallery in the whole of Slovakia. Its main collecting program is documenting the visual life in the Eastern Slovakia region.
In addition to its headquarters, beautiful premises of County House, the gallery also carries out its activities in the building on Alžbetina Street 22. This gallery was purchased by the Aranyossy family in 1975 and subsequently reconstructed.
The premises of this building serve for gallery purposes. Visitors can admire the permanent exhibition entitled "Košice in Fine Arts". The collection of the gallery has more than 6,400 pieces of work, which provide an overview of the 9th and 20th century art. from the East Slovak region, as well as an overview of art in Slovakia, especially in the 20th century.
