Description
The literary giant Sándor Márai was one of Europe's most read authors of his time. His roots reach back to Košice, where he was born, spent his childhood and later started to create his pieces of art. A memorial room of Sándor Márai was established in his honor and memory.
In the memorial room of this world novelist, visitors can admire authentic examples of personal items, including manuscripts with original signatures, his globe, cross, photos and paintings. The tour is complemented by a lecture on the life of Marai.
A few-minute book snippets spoken by actors in four languages, which visitors can listen to from their installed headphones, are the perfect diversification of the tour. The room also has large screens or illuminated information panels. Interactive screens also feature interesting movie by Martin Štelbaský about the life of Sándor Márai - Against the Wind.
