Krupina Plain is a piece of beautiful nature full of enchanting creations. Even in the woods near the village of Príbelce, there is evidence that nature is indeed a powerful witch. Natural monument called Kamenná žena (Stone Woman) has captivated many tourists.
A Stone Woman is** a rocky formation** that rises on the slope of a local hill to a height of 4 meters. This impressive rock formation was created by selective weathering of the volcanic rock of andesite. There are two other, a little bit smaller, but very similar formations nearby.
Natural monument of Stone Woman is accessible through several access routes, but neither is marked properly. However, with the help of the map or GPS, you should successfully reach the destination. The easiest way is to take the unmarked road from Príbelce along the blue marked trail and then angle to another unmarked path to reach the destination. The journey is very pleasant and easy. The destination is approximately 3.5 km away. We recommend it to both active tourists and occasional hikers. In addition, nice views await you at the top of the hill.
