If you find yourself in the vicinity of the city of Nitra and have a sunny day, you should definetely pull out your boots and hike to the not very high hill of Hôrka, where a beautiful lookout tower stands.
The trail starts in the village Podhorany (about 800m) and is well marked. It leads first along the path and then into the mild hill. After a few minutes, you will have the whole Nitra region and the surrounding nature lie open. First of all, you will surely see the majestic Tribeč Mountain Range with Žibrica Hill, or the ridges of Little Carpathians and Považský Inovec.
The lookout tower has a wooden structure. It is 8 meters high and was built in 2011. Its characteristic feature is a cross that rises at its top. Around it, there is a shelter with benches and a fireplace where you can relax and fully enjoy the undisturbed atmosphere.
