Description
Zobor Hillfort is the oldest and most extensive monument near the city of Nitra. It is also a national cultural monument.
The hillfort s bordered by a defensive wall, almost 2 km long, on some places up to 7 meters high. Foundation of Zobor Hillfort dates back to the late Bronze Age (10th to 8th century BC)
The Zobor Hillfort Historical Trail is a 1.95 km long circuit. It starts and ends at Pyramid. It is marked clockwise in one direction. Information boards and signs guide you through the entire route. The transition time is about 3/4 hours.
By passing through the entire route, the visitor will receive a complete picture of the Zobor Hillfort combined with a nice walk to Pyramid and Zobor. From Zobor Hill, there is an impressive view of the wide surroundings, especially of Nitra.
