On the main square in the historical center of Kežmarok, there is an originally Gothic-Renaissance house, which now houses an exhibition of burgher housing culture in Spiš. In Slovakia, it is a unique exposition featuring art and craft exhibits since the 17th century, based on parts of the 19th century burgher's interior.
Much of the exhibited objects are from the estate of Baroness Hedviga Maria von Szirmay. The aim of the installation was to evoke period interiors and thus offer visitors a view of a representative cross-section in all areas of housing.
The most valuable exhibits include the wedding chests of Spiš provenance from the mid-17th century, as well as the classicist chest decorated with a unique painting of exotic flora. Interesting and very valuable is also a collection of clocks from Spiš and Vienna masters. The exposition is also enriched with samples of clothing and clothing accessories, photographs and pictures.
