The Museum of Clocks is an extended exhibition of the Bratislava City Museum. It is located in the premises of the Rococo house "U dobrého pastiera" (i.e. At the Good Shepherd), which belongs to several original preserved buildings of the old Bratislava castle. It was built in the years 1760 - 1765. The lower part was designed for commercial and craft activities, the upper floors for housing.
The exposition installed in the interior space focuses mainly on clocks from the 18th-19th centuries made in the workshops of Bratislava masters. The atmosphere of the ticking historical clock, the precise work of the watchmaker's masters and the unique mechanism of the individual clock will enchant many visitors.
Among the exhibits on display, there is a unique set of portable sundials from the 17th - 18th centuries, various types of table and wall clocks, alarm clocks and samples of pocket watches.
