If you would like to feel like our ancestors lived for a while, you should visit the village of Párnica near Dolný Kubín. There is the Room of Grandmothers, which will bring you closer to the life of our ancestors, traditions and past of the village.
The Room of Grandmothers is a general museum in Párnica, which is housed in a renovated 150-year-old building. The General Museum consists of three rooms: a rural room, a barn and a room with period documents.
Rooms are furnished with period furniture as well as various work tools or photographs that bring the life of the villagers closer. There are 230 exhibits in the museum, which were lent or donated by citizens and natives of Párnica.
Come to experience a unique atmosphere, delight the eye and move a little bit to the past. Sightseeing The Room of Grandmothers is attractive not only for adults but also for children. Admission is voluntary.
