Description
Cerová Uplands is full of natural beauties and places worth visiting. If you go to the village of Gemerské Dechtáre, you will surely find one of these natural beauties. It is Steblová Rock, which is part of the nature reserve with the same name.
It is an exemplar of steamed volcanic chimney with numerous basalt veins, effusions, and basaltic column separation. At the same time, this rocky beauty is also home to rare forest and forest steppe biotopes with a lot of protected fauna and flora.
The top parts of Steblová Rock offer beautiful views of the valley mine, where the houses of the village of Gemerské Dechtáre and Hajnáčky are situated. You will also enjoy views of the surrounding hills and beautiful nature. Steblová Rock represents an ideal place for a walk or a relaxing stay in nature. Steblová Rock will certainly captivate even smaller children.
You can get to Steblova Rock from several surrounding villages - Hodejov (about 7 km), Gemerská Dechtáre (about 7 km) or Hajnáčka (about 6 km). It's just up to you whether you choose a shorter or longer route. All of them, however, include the beautiful surrounding countryside of Cerová Uplands.
