In the vicinity of the village Dobšiná, there is a publicly accessible Green Cave (orig. Zelená jaskyňa). It is quite unknown among tourists, because it is overshadowed by a much more well-known and widely visited Dobšinská Ice Cave. Nevertheless, it is worth visiting the Green Cave in the form of a pleasant diversification of tourism in this area.
The cave is situated on the southeast slope of the Duče ridge. It was created by groundwater rich in carbon dioxide. The Green Cave is interesting for its two entrances, which lead to a corridor 31 meters long without karst decoration.
The cave is located near the blue-marked hiking trail that leads from the settlement Dobšinská Ice Cave (about 3.5 km) to the "Pod Hanesovou Saddle".
