Poľovníkov vodopád (Hunter's waterfall) is a popular excursion place especially in summer. It is preferred by hikers, cyclists or families with children. It is located under Bobrovecká Valley surrounded by beautiful Liptov nature and a huge rock wall from which it falls.
It is interesting that the Poľovníkov vodopád has several names, so you may know it under the name "Bobrovecký vodopád" or "Poľovnícky vodopád". The spring of water falls from a height of 12 meters. It is created by the stream of Stará voda, which at the top of the waterfall creates two vortex pots.
The waterfall is charming in every season. In winter, however, the massive sound of falling water ceases and the waterfall turns into a frozen but beautiful icefall. The beautiful setting of the waterfall will remind you of the atmosphere of the Slovak Paradise.
The easiest way to reach the waterfall is from the village of Jalovec (about 4 km) through Bobrovecká Vápenica and Lipovec Saddle, where the direction signs will lead you directly to the waterfall. A marked cycle path passes through the locality as well.
