Description
The Nová hoľa Hill in Greater Fatra is certainly very well known especially for winter sports lovers. On its southern slopes, there is a ski resort Park Snow Donovaly with several ski slopes and cable cars.
However, Nová hoľa is not living only during the winter. It has something to offer in the summer as well. After all, it is part of the beautiful nature of the Greater Fatra mountain range. A hiking trail leads to the nearby hill of Zvolen, with which Nová hoľa belongs to the most popular destinations of this part of the mountains.
The top of Nová hoľa is covered with clear-felled area, thanks to whichit offers beautiful views of the Low Tatras and Greater Fatra panorama, which you simply will not get enough of. Scattered roofs of the houses of the village of Donovaly will be outlined in the valley.
The ascent to Nová hoľa is unpretentious and during the summer season, it will be facilitated by the hybrid cableway Donovaly - Nová hoľa. If you still have the strength, you can continue in the hike to the aforementioned Zvolen hill. However, you may also discover other corners of this site.
There are several ascent routes to Nová hoľa. Marked hiking trails lead from Donovaly (about 1.5 km) and Liptovské Revúce - Nižná Revúca part (about 7 km).A marked cycling trail leads to the top from Korytnica - Spa and also from Donovaly.
