The confluence of the Danube and Moravia is a unique place that will attract you with its beauty and atmosphere. Thanks to its good accessibility, you can go here even when you have little time. Visitors come to relax here even after a working day, because this place is a real oasis of peace. The location is ideal for families with children. It is suitable for a stroller or an easy walk. Every senior can make a trip here. A sports enthusiast, such as cyclists and runners, will also find their place here.

On the benches by the water you cansit and at the same time watch the wonderful connection of the fast-flowing Danube and the calm, mud-covered Moravia. It is fascinating to see how heavy cargo ships make their way against the strong current. In addition, the place is also interesting for its history. During the time of the Iron Curtain, the confluence of the Danube and Moravia was the border of the Eastern Bloc. This fact is reminded by the monument that stands right at the confluence. It is a place that reminds us of a time when many people risked their lives trying to escape to the west.

Getting to the confluence of the Danube and Moravia is easy. You can arrive by car, public transport or bicycle. There is a large free parking lot directly below Devín Castle, from where it is only a 5-minute walk to the confluence. In addition, there are also cycle paths leading here, so you can choose whether to come from the city center or from Devínská Nová Ves, following a nice route along the Morava River.

If you want to give your trip a touch of exceptionality and adventure, you can even sail here on a cruise ship from Bratislava's Old Town. The cruise takes about 1.5 hours and you have a 2-hour break in Devín to visit local attractions. The voyage back to Bratislava is downstream and therefore takes only half an hour.

Do not hesitate and come enjoy this magical piece of nature.
