Description
The beautiful water reservoir Úhorná, also called Uhornianske Lake, is located in the arms of the Volovské Hills. It was built in the 18th century on the Smolník Brook and served as a reservoir of water for mining facilities. At present, the reservoir is an excellent fishing ground and during the summer it is sought after by vacationers.
The reservoir attracts clean and refreshing water. There is a possibility of swimming or boating on the lake. Shores are mild, grassy with gradual entry into the water, making the reservoir ideal for families with children. The resort by the lake has a restaurant, buffet and accommodation services and playground.
The surrounding area offers a varied range of hiking and biking trails that will take you to the most charming corners. The Úhorná reservoir is easily accessible. Free parking is available nearby.
