When speaking of Tokaj, a delicious, fragrant dessert wine of golden colour comes to mind to everyone. in his yard. Even King Louis XIV. succumbed to this wine and let it serve in his court. For the first time it was made by Sepsi Laczko Maté in 1650, and since then, this first-class Slovak wine elbows its way until today.
We invite you to taste Tokaj wines directly in the medieval cellar in the wine region of world-famous Tokaj, where you will be introduced to the history of its origin, technological processes in the production of Tokaj wines and especially a wide range of unforgettable wines.
The cellars are dug into a fragile but solid stone tuff and conceal the liquid treasures of domestic growers. Their guardian is the statue of King Bela IV, who is the father of viticulture at Tokaj. The collection of these cellars is also on the list of National Cultural Monuments of Slovakia and is currently only awaiting entry into the UNESCO List of Monuments.
You can get into the depth of 13 meters under the ground surface. With the first steps, you will also be impressed by the pleasant intimate atmosphere, the corridors illuminated by the flickering candle flame or the wall surrounded by the cellar mould.
Tasting takes place in groups of at least four, and you can choose from three tasting options.
Tastings are organized all year round. It is necessary to book in advance by email or phone.
