Fiľakovo was a city where people expected to be bombed because there was military production of the highest category. In addition, Fiľakovo was an important railway junction, which made it another strategic target for bombing. That is why the people of Fiľakovo decided to build extensive anti-aircraft shelters.

Bunker tour is a special tour of selected anti-aircraft shelters in Fiľakovo, which date backto the period of World War II. The exhibition Fiľakovo 1938 - 1945 will be our first stop. It will bring us closer to the fate of the city and its inhabitants during the Second World War. It is installed in underground corridors excavated directly in the castle hill,

We will continue with the guided tour, during which you can familiarize yourself with three types of anti-aircraft shelters, used by the people of Fiľakov during raids on the city. Only with us you can get to the anti-aircraft shelter of the former Industrial Plants. The shelter has 21 rooms and is lit by flashlights. **Visitors with claustrophobia are not recommended to visit these shelters!**
