The educational trail In the footsteps of old ore mining in Pukanec combines the best, most beautiful and interesting of the surrounding natural beauty and history of the former free mining and royal town of Pukanec.
The educational trail starts in the square - in front of the Evangelical church, which is built by the state road leading from Levice to Banská Štiavnica.
At each stop you will find information boards with map attachments and period photographs. An undemanding walk through the majestic nature of Štiavnické vrchy Mountains will take you 2 - 2.5 hours.
However, if you desire to be completely absorbed by the beautiful nature, and seek for more information, we advise you to book a guide. With him or her, the transition takes about 4 hours. The route is 5.2 km long, with an elevation of 160 m. From this point of view, this is a truly unpretentious route that even the smallest ones can make with their parents.
