You can take a beautiful walk not only with children in Jakub - a part of town Banská Bystrica, which is considered to be a kind of gateway to the Low Tatras National Park. The nature trail passes through a protected area and will acquaint you with the flora and fauna of the local nature. Along the way you can also observe many interesting plants, e.g. orchids.
Route starts at the local gothic church of St. Jakuba, where is also located the first educational board. It continues around the church to the other side of the stream. You have to go right to the end of the village and then up and left under the railway bridge. Behind bridge there is another signboard.
This circular educational trail is about 2 km long and even children can handle it without any problems.
