Martinské hole - it is not only about good skiing, but also adventure tourism. The tour of Martinské hole is considered to be one of the oldest in Slovakia.
Recently, however, ir has also been included in the list, where the climb is enriched by a secured hiking trail called the Ferrata of Mountain Rescue Service (HZS).
Ferrata is divided into two ascends according to difficulty. For less able-bodied hikers, a lighter variant with a B-level difficulty is designed and for a more proficient, there is a C-version.
The Ferrata Tour leads through impressive nature - it is set in a canyon, created by the Pivovarský Creek, which runs down from the ridge of Lúčanská Little Fatra to the town of Martin.
The ferrata HZS includes truly diverse terrain from the gulley through the rock overhangs to the narrow cliffs. Climbing difficult terrain will be facilitated by protective equipment in the form of ladders, bridges, footrests, and special fixed steel wire ropes.
If you decided for ferrata HZS, prepare a determination, good condition and mainly ferrata equipment, without which you will not be allowed to go. If you do not have it, you do not need to buy it can be borrowed comfortably and a guide can be ordered if necessary too.
Ferrata HZS is not accessible all year long and it is necessary to check the closure period. As one of the few, it is also accessible for children from 10 years of age who are protected by a rope accompanied by their parents. The walkway is one-way only and a different route is used on the way back.
