Although Sivec Hill is not one of the highest peaks, it is considered one of the best lookout hills. This limestone ridge, with a significant, sharp rocky cliff and adjacent steep slopes, rises above the Ružín water reservoir.
Sivec is a popular tourist destination of Košice inhabitants, because it offers an undemanding walk in the lap of nature with beautiful views of the wide surroundings, the mountains that are considered to the glittering surface of the water reservoir and in good weather even at the high Tatras.
The rocky walls of this hill attract to wanderings and the discovery of caves and there are several of them. Many are easily accessible, others cannot be entered by a human. Sivec Hill is a national nature reserve protected because of its limestone rocks with karst phenomena, as well as rare flora and fauna.
Several marked hiking trails lead from the locality Ružín - bridge (about 4 km) or Ružín - rail station (about 5 km) to the hill Sivec.
