Waterfalls of the Cold Creek

The most beautiful waterfalls of the High Tatras are certainly the Waterfalls of the Cold Creek (orig. Studený potok), which are located on a short section of the creek from Rainer's cottage to Bilik's cottage (Hrebienok).

The Cold Creek flows through a vast terrain break and creates beautiful cascades and cataracts that are particularly nice in the spring when snow is melting or after heavy rains.

They consist of Huge, Small, Hidden and Long Waterfall. They are enchanting in every season, but they are more powerful especially in the spring when snow is melting or after heavy rains.

Studený potok waterfalls are a popular tourist destination and the route leading to them is not too demanding and therefore ideal for families with small children.

Marked paths lead from Tatranská Lesná, Tatranská Lomnica and Starý Smokovec. The shortest way to reach them is from Hrebienok, where the funicular also leads. Pedestrian ascent takes about an hour.
