Driny Cave is the only accessible cave in western Slovakia. Although it is smaller and less rich in decoration, small visitors will enjoy plenty of bats that fly overhead during 30 min. tour.
Typical sinter curtains with serrated edging are typical for the cave. There are also sinter lakes, waterfalls and flows, pagoda stalagmites and various forms of stalactites.
The car park is situated 1 km from the village of Smolenice at the Jahodník recreation center. From the parking lot, it is necessary to walk to the cave along a 1 km long forest path with 100 m elevation. The ascend takes about 20 minutes and the end of the sidewal is quite steep with 100 steps.
