One of the most well-known and most visited Tatra peaks is Východná Vysoká. Like other Tatra peaks, it offers a charming but challenging all-day hike with an elevation of more than 1,420 meters.
Východná Vysoká rises in the main ridge of the High Tatras. Wild, rocky peak offers captivating circular views of the whole Tatras. In good weather you can admire Gerlach Peak, Zadný Gerlach Peak, Velický Peak, Vysoká, Rysy and Lomnický Peak.
The ascent route starts in Tatranská Polianka. From there, a 7 km long asphalt road leads to the Silesian House, where you can have a good lunch and relax. From the Silesian House, prepare for the more difficult sections, one of the most difficult is the passage through the rugged rocky ridge to the Polish Ridge Saddle, where the route has the character of a rather easy climbing terrain and is therefore technically secured by chains.
