Žobrák Hill (Beggar Hill) is one of those hills in Little Fatra that are relatively little known and visited by tourists. It is located in the saddlebow, coming south from much more sought after hill of Stoh.
Žobrák Hill is all forested and is therefore ideal for those seeking peaceful, undisturbed hiking in the beautiful countryside. From the saddles below the summit, as well as some ascent sections, you will have some beautiful views.
The eastern slopes of the hill are covered by the national nature reserve Šrámková, the western slopes are covered by the national nature reserve Šútovská dolina. In both you can meet rare plant and animal communities of forests and grassy uplands.
The ascent to Žobrák Hill, compared to other ascents to the more frequented hills of Little Fatra, is not demanding. It is easily accessible from the village Kraľovany along the green tourist mark (about 6km). Alternatively, you can get there from the Stoh Hill as well.
